Swiss private bank Lombard Odier Group announced the appointment of Bettina Ducat as co-head of its asset management division Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM) as of March 5, 2024.
Ducat will be based in Geneva and will become a limited partner of the Group.
Bettina Ducat will jointly lead LOIM, which manages roughly $75 billion of assets, with managing partner Jean-Pascal Porcherot.
The Swiss firm said that before joining Lombard Odier, Ducat was CEO of La Financière de l’Echiquier (LFDE) and deputy CEO in charge of asset management of the Primonial Group “where she successfully developed and diversified the overall business, while implementing innovative financial solutions and sustainability-focussed strategies.”
Within this role “she also managed the buyout of LFDE to la Banque Postale,” said Lombard Odier. “Prior to this, Bettina worked for AXA Investment Managers for more than 13 years, including as Global Head of Distribution.
“She holds an MBA from EM Lyon and a visiting degree from the University of St Gallen.”
Porcherot said: “Bettina Ducat’s leadership experience and track record in equities, distribution and the development of investment strategies underpinned by sustainability will be of great value to LOIM.
“We are pleased to welcome her to the Group as we continue to grow our asset management offering.”
Bettina Ducat said: “I am delighted to join LOIM, a leading asset management firm with a clear focus.
“I look forward to working alongside Jean-Pascal Porcherot to further grow and develop the business, with a view to providing clients with best-in-class investment strategies.”
